Sun safety KS1 PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for use in Year 2, or even younger students in KS2 (Year 3). Puberty, Periods, and the Human Life Cycle: Understanding girls’ puberty and how the changes we experience fit into the greater human life cycle. This one-hour lesson is designed for students in UKS2 (specifically for Year 6, though it is also suitable for Year 7). The lesson recaps students’ previous knowledge regarding the changes girls commonly experience during puberty (Year 4/5) before providing a wider context of how adolescence and puberty fit into the greater human life cycle. Created with progression in mind, the students will learn about the menstrual cycle in greater detail than previously covered, before embarking on a scavenger hunt to discover a range of different period products, how they are used, and some pros and cons for each.
